Bronze medallion, obverse bearing the image of a castle, surrounded by a sugar cane and tobacco plant with the inscription ARMY OF OCCUPATION PORTO RICO 1898, reverse bearing an eagle surrounded by the inscription UNITED STATES ARMY FOR SERVICE, rim bears the serial number "1952", on original ribbon, 33. 5 mm, evidence of spotting, very fine condition. Housed in original blue box, fine condition. Footnote:
