It grows in murky water, a tough habitat. Each flower paves way for the birth of so many other flowers, it is considered to be a symbol for creation and resurrection in Egyptian Mythology. Even the lotus leaves have little fibres on them prevent them from rotting in water, they are a source of marvel for me!
