Vintage Chopstick Holder w145 The classic arch design holdsJiangsu, circa 1920 Made from varnished beech in the early twentieth century, these simple chop stick sets are held in a charming box with a cantilevered lid at one end and adorned with three carved tortoises. In Chinese culture the tortoise represents the universe, with the domed shell symbolising the sky and the flat underside the earth. The box contains eight pairs of chopsticks.
